Sales Manager

JOB SUMMARY

Plans, implements, maximizes, monitors and evaluates the hotel’s Sales and Marketing Strategy (goals, tactics and actions) to achieve and exceed forecasted revenue figures in Rooms, Food and Beverage and all other revenue generating departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintains highest level of professionalism in sales activities and appearance at all times,
  • Serves as a Leader in the Hotel’s “Guest Service” culture through personal actions, identifying areas for improvement, and participation in all aspects of providing our hotel’s guests with Superior Guest Service.
  • Maximizes employee productivity through the use of multi-skilling, multi-tasking.
  • Constantly monitors and evaluates local, national and international market trends, and competitor hotels’ sales initiatives, in order to make sure the hotel’s marketing and sales remain competitive and cutting edge.
  • Manages all key sales accounts and groups, evaluates them based on sales account analysis.
  • Ensures room and banquet space inventories are reviewed weekly and strategies are formulated to fill low occupancy periods.
  • Ensures all contracts signed follow the established hotel policies and procedures.
  • Attends major travel, trade and corporate functions to network and promote the hotel when required.
  • Plans and executes sales trips based on business priorities.
  • Plans and implements effective training programmes for sales employees.
  • Maximizes the effectiveness of every sales employee by developing each individuals’ skills and abilities though the training and coaching.
  • Ensures sales employees work in a supportive and flexible manner with other departments, in spirit of “We works through Teams”Maintains strong, professional relationship with relevant representatives from competitor hotels, business partners and other organizations, especially travel agencies, business groups.
  • Completes Monthly Sales Department Productivity Reports.
  • Monitors business trends and directs adjustments to Revenue Maximization Strategies,
  • Any other duties directed by the General Manager.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High English proficiency. Second foreign languages are highly welcomed.
  • At least 3 years working in travel and hotel industry. Relationship to travel agents is a great advantage.
  • Proven leadership ability to influence, develop, and empower team members to achieve objectives with a team approach.
  • Marketing and Sale knowledge.
  • Problem solving, motivation, organizational and training abilities.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellence customer service skills.
