Ha Village is situated on the bank of Cau River, about 52km from Hanoi, in Bac Giang province. Tho Ha used to be a famous place of Gom Sanh (Pottery without glaze fired with dry grass, and then firewood and coal). In the early 1980s, Tho Ha villagers turned to making dry pancakes and raising animals as pottery was gradually abandoned. You will discover here a real country life with the special walls have attracted film producers, painters, and photographers
At 8.45, Start your tour with driving 52 km on the bumpy road, on the way to Tho Ha village, having a good chance to enjoy the countryside pictures, farmers are working on the green field with water buffalo,

At 10.15,  Crossing Cau River by local ferry, we will walk around to visit local families and learn more about the local culture, with their daily works.

 Discover village through narrow and zigzag alleys with the old houses had been constructed from broken part of terracotta from the past. Walking over village cemetery to the dike, where you can see the village from distance over the beautiful lake.

Now, Tho Ha village is known for rice wine or cassava wine, its pigs and rice paper cakes, and most recently the villages special walls have attracted film producers, painters, photographers.      

At 12.30. Have a lunch with local hosts and then guiding to visit one pottery family, workshop. Tho Ha pottery used to be fired with dry grass, and then firewood and coal. Businessmen came from Hanoi and surrounding locations animating Cau River with boats and trade activity. In the early 1980s, Tho Ha villagers turned to making aluminum and plastic products, traditional cakes, and raising animals as pottery was gradually abandoned.                        

At 14.00. Driving back Hanoi,  we stop to visit  Dong Ky wood carving village where having many showrooms. Originally, carpentry was a side hobby for the inhabitants of Dong Ky. However, poverty forced the villagers to concentrate their skills on this occupation. The some 12,000 residents now prosper from their trade with the increasing demand from hotels, restaurants, and exporters for their quality, hand carved furniture and crafts. The wood work here is also famous for its meticulously inlaid mother of pearl. After visiting Dong Ky village, we head back to Hanoi
